Fire Modelling Pic.JPG

Where necessary, our fire safety engineers can utilise the very latest CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to justify proposals for the more complex designs or to help identify potential solutions where designs deviate from conventional building codes. Understanding the lifecycle of a building, up to and including the potential devastation caused by fire, and the need to take into account property protection, in addition to life safety, are important considerations. Our extensive background in emergency incident management helps us to anticipate the likely operational response from the Fire and Rescue Service. This can identify the limitations on fire development and the need to consider further fire safety features where appropriate. A firefighter task analysis can be added to our modelling as appropriate, where property protection is considered necessary. This approach is particularly suited to MOD or heritage buildings
